Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 cup of wheat flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 cups of breadcrumbs

  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese

  • 2 cups of tomato sauce

  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

  • Frying oil

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Bread the chicken breasts: coat each breast in the wheat flour, then in the beaten eggs and, finally, in the breadcrumb and parmesan cheese mixture.
  • In a large frying pan, heat enough oil to fry. Fry the chicken breasts over medium heat until golden on both sides. Remove and place on paper towel to drain excess oil.
  • On a baking sheet, spread a thin layer of tomato sauce. Place the chicken breasts over the sauce.
  • Cover each breast with more tomato sauce and sprinkle with grated mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
