The flavor, aroma and softness of focaccia make it a delicious snack option!

Ingredients

  • 140 ml of warm water

  • 2 tablespoons wheat flour

  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoon sugar

  • 1/2 tablespoon dry yeast

  • Dough/Focaccia Ingredients
  • 250 grams of wheat flour

  • 1/4 cup olive oil (tea)

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • Rosemary sprigs to taste

  • Cherry tomatoes to taste

  • Olive oil to taste

  • parilla salt to taste

Directions

  • To make the sponge, combine the sugar, yeast, warm water, wheat flour and mix well. 
    Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
  • Add the oil, salt and 250 grams of wheat flour little by little while mixing the ingredients until the dough is uniform.
  • Cover the dough and let it rest for 20 minutes to allow it to rise with the yeast.
  • Spread olive oil to taste on the bottom of a refractory, place the dough and open it with your fingers until it becomes uniform. 
    Cover again and let rest for 15 minutes.
  • Squeeze your fingers into the dough to form holes and fill them with rosemary, parilla salt and halved cherry tomatoes.
  • Finish by putting olive oil over the dough, take it to the preheated oven at 200º₢ and bake it for approximately 40 minutes.
  • Carefully remove the focaccia from the oven and it is ready to be cut and served.
